What do I have to do to join your wholesale program?
Our wholesale prices are available to any valid, registered US business
with a Federal EIN and State Tax ID (and similar requirements for international
customers). All you need to do in order to see our wholesale prices and place
an order online is set-up
an account, which is free.
Do I need to submit my tax re-sale or business license to you before I can
place an order?
Yes. Once you provide us the above information on your application,
we will review and approve if you meet all the requirements. Once approved, you
can take advantage of our great wholesale prices and instantly place your order
online.
Do you charge sales tax?
No! As an internet-based business, we do not charge any tax on our sales. If
you are located in the state of Hawaii,
you will automatically be charged the General Excise Tax of 4.167% upon
checkout as we must charge GET to all our fellow Hawaiian customers. Please contact us if you would like to submit your GE
License for the wholesale rate of 0.5% in the state of Hawaii.
How do I see your wholesale prices?
All our wholesale prices are displayed on our product pages after your
wholesale account is approved. You will not be able to see wholesale prices
without an approved Wholesale Account. Quantity discounts will also show on the
product pages and are calculated automatically if you order enough of one item
to qualify for the quantity discount.
Why do you have a $10 Low Order Fee for orders under $200?
This Low Order Fee helps to protect our wholesale clients that receive special
pricing because they buy in bulk. We want to make sure that our wholesale
program is of value, therefore we assess a surcharge a nominal $10 to all
orders below $200. This allows our wholesale customers to re-stock whenever
they want without having to spend a lot of money. It also helps new customers
place small sample orders without having to meet any order minimums. We are
thrilled that we can offer such competitive prices to our customers, regardless
of order size.
What would the price be per item if I don't meet your $200 order minimum?
All our prices are displayed on the website for all visitors to see. If your
order total does not exceed $200, you will be assessed an additional $10
surcharge in order for us to process your order. If you order 20 products, you
can calculate this as paying an additional $0.50 per item above the listed
price. Our website does not show our quantity discounts, however you will see
these discounts in your shopping cart should you order enough of a product to
qualify for a quantity discount.
How do I test the garments before committing to an order over $200?
We want you to have an opportunity to test out our products before making a
large purchase. We think it is only fair you see the quality of our baby and
toddler garments so that you can make an informed decision. You can purchase several items of your choosing and create
your own custom sample pack. This way you sample exactly what you want without
having to spend very much money. Please keep in mind all orders under $200 will
be assessed a $10 Low Order Fee.
What is the fabric make-up and weight of your garments?
All our garments are made from 100% cotton and 100% certified organic cotton.
The weight of our items can range between 5.61 oz or 190 GSM and 7.08 oz
or 240 GSM. All our items, unless otherwise noted, are 100% interlock cotton
and a minimum of 220 GSM.
Where are your garments manufactured?
All our garments are made in both India
and Bangladesh.
Our hair accessory items, shoes, and legwarmers are made in China.
I just added an item to my cart and received an "Out of Stock"
warning. What should I do?
Please remove these items from your shopping cart or only add as many as the
website tells you we have in stock. We can not fill orders with any
out-of-stock items.
How long does back order take for items that are running low or
out-of-stock?
Koko Bean replaces inventory 2-3 times per calendar year, on a color-rotation
basis. Back orders for certain items can take anywhere from 3-12 months,
depending on the specific item. We will include stock information in our
monthly newsletter. We will not back-order any items for our customers.
I want to know how much it will cost to ship my order. Can you tell me?
Sure! Just click on the "Estimate Shipping" button on the bottom
left-hand side of your shopping cart. This will allow you to see shipping costs
as you add items to your cart and before you check-out.
Shipping costs seem kind of high. Why?
Koko Bean is located in Hawaii, USA, the most
isolated land mass on the planet. Unfortunately this means we pay higher
shipping costs than all our mainland USA counterparts. We do not make
any money from shipping as the website does a really great job of accurately
estimating the weight of your package. You can double check all shipping costs
through the carrier you choose by putting in the weight of the package and the
shipped from zip code of 96740. You will see that the true shipping costs are
very close to what you are paying through our website. If there is ever a
discrepancy, please let us know.
I noticed you used a different shipping method than the one I chose in my
shopping cart. Why?
Every once in a while we are able to upgrade our customers' shipping method if
the cost of a faster shipping option is within the budget of what our customer
pays online for shipping. Most upgraded orders originate as FedEx or UPS Ground
and are changed to USPS Priority. This change saves customers, on average,
approx. 4 shipping days. This upgrade is at no additional cost to you. We just
like to look out for our customers when we can! We will never use a shipping
option that takes longer to arrive than the shipping option you have chosen.
I still haven't received my USPS shipment and it was supposed to arrive two
days ago. Why?
USPS does not guarantee an arrival date, and Priority can take up to 3-5 days
on average to ship from Hawaii to the mainland
USA.
All overnight Express shipments from Hawaii
will take two days, not one, to arrive at your door. Please keep in mind that
all shipping methods provided on the website will take longer in transit due to
our Hawaii
location.
Why is my shipment taking several days longer to arrive then I was
expecting?
Due to our Hawaii
location, shipping times can take several days longer than they do on the Mainland
USA. So even though FedEx Ground/Home Delivery may take 3-4 business days to
get to you from a mainland business, it can take 7-8 business days from Hawaii. Please keep this
in mind when choosing your shipping option, especially if you are on a tight time
line. Not all shippers provide us with an estimated delivery date so it is
always best to go on the shippers website and plug-in our zip-code of 96740 in
the "From" field to see how long shipping will take to your
destination before placing your order. As a quick reference for our US customers,
USPS Priority can take approx. 3 business days, FedEx can take 6-7 business
days, UPS Ground can take 5 business days, and USPS Express takes 2 business
days to arrive from the date of shipment. Unfortunately shippers do not allow
us to upgrade your shipping method once an item has been shipped.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we have clients all over the world and can ship to all approved export
countries. You can estimate your shipping costs by clicking on the
"Estimate Shipping" button on the bottom left-hand side of your
shopping cart. This will allow you to see shipping costs as you add items to
your cart and before you check-out. Please keep in mind that some international
shipments may take several days longer to arrive due to our location. If for
some reason the shipping calculator is not working for your international
order, please contact us so that we can provide you with a separate shipping
quote.
Do you offer quantity discounts?
Yes! We offer quantity discounts starting as low as 6 pieces of the same item,
and every 6 after that up to 30. Quantity discounts start as low as 12 pieces
for our accessory items and every 12 after that up to 36. You will not see the
quantity discount on the item page, however you can see it in the shopping cart
once the correct quantity is added. All attributes must match for the quantity
discount to be taken.
Do you offer drop shipping?
Unfortunately we do not offer any drop shipping terms, however there is a
clever way around this. Our customers are more than welcome to offer our
products on their websites without having them physically in stock. Once your
customers order a Koko Bean product through your website, you can just order
that product from us. In the "Special Instructions" box you see in
checkout, just note that you do not want us to include a Sales Receipt with the
package. We will ship to any address you provide us, so feel free to put your
customer's address as the shipping address. All our customers have permission
to use photos of our products when selling them on their websites, so long as
the product being offered for sale is truly a Koko Bean garment.
Can I use the photos you have on your website?
All images on our
website are the exclusive property of Koko Bean LLC. All images are copyright
and may not be used without express written permission from Koko Bean LLC.
Please include your company and website name with your inquiry. All inquiries
can be sent through our Contact
Us Page. With written permission, customers are welcome to use our blank
garment photos on their own websites if the product being offered originally
was purchased from www.kokobeanshop.com. Customers can further
"photoshop" the photo with their own embellishments, such as a
screenprint. CUSTOMERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE ANY PHOTOS WITH MODELS IN THEM
as we need the express permission of that model, or model's parent. Customers
may not use a cropped model photo without express written permission from Koko
Bean LLC. Koko Bean LLC will diligently pursue action against anyone who uses
any of our website images without our express written permission.
Why was my credit card charged for less than my order total or why was I issued
a refund via Paypal?
Although we try to track our inventory as accurately as possible, every once in
a while the website will show an item as available even if it has sold out. In
this instance we will fill your order with as much of an item that we have and
subtract the difference from your credit card or refund you via Paypal. We will
notify you via e-mail when this happens.

Do you offer custom manufacturing or private label services?

Does your Koko Bean logo show on the garments? Can it be easily removed?
We do our best to hide our Koko Bean tag in all garments so that you can easily
place your own tag in a highly visible location. Our tag can easily be cut-out
and most customers will never know it was originally a Koko Bean garment. The
only outwardly visible tag on all our garments is a generic small sizing tag.
We hide our tag and provide a separate sizing tag on purpose to help save our
wholesale customers money if they wish to customize the garment with their own
tags.
How will I know if a product is out of stock?
The website will notify you if a product is out of stock as soon as you attempt
to place that item in your shopping cart. It will also tell you if you have
ordered more than we have in stock and will then let you know they quantity we
have available for your order. Every once in a great while the website will
show a garment as out-of-stock even if it is not. Feel free to contact us if you ever want to double check on the
stock of an item. If an item is truly out-of-stock, it may take several months
to get in again. We encourage you to let us know if there is something you want
that is out of stock so that we can expedite getting it in again for you.
Are you compliant with CPSIA?
Yes, all garments with button snap closures and all accessory items with
potentially harmful chemicals have been tested for lead. Please visit our CPSIA Page
